2019 CBBC SENIOR WINDUP & PRESENTATION NIGHT

4:30 - 7:30 pm Thursday 26th September

Bendat Basketball Centre

For all U/14 - U/20 City Beach Players, Coaches & Managers.

Parents are encouraged to attend the presentations, but due to the numbers cannot be catered with food.

FORMAT

• 4:30 - 5:15 pm Shooting Competition on courts 1 & 2 (for interested players)

• 5:15 - 6:45 pm Trophy Presentations on court 1

  • U14 Team Presentations

  • CBBC Perpetual Awards

  • U16 & above Team Presentations

FOOD

• Hotdogs/drink/ice-cream will be served in the cafe from 5:20pm

• U16, U18 & U20 teams can eat either before or after their presentations

• U14 teams will eat after their presentations.

 

Players - arrive just before 4:30 if you wish to join in the shooting otherwise arrive for presentations at these times - U14's: 5:10pm, U16/18/20: 5:55pm

Managers - to return CBBC bag with a full set of playing tops and training balls. Place a note in the bag if you have lost a top or ball.

 

Coaches - will present team trophies (with or w/o a speech)

Teams - please sit together in the court 1 stands for the presentations and be ready to be called up.

SEASON 2018 REGISTRATIONS

2017 City Beach Players - You will receive an email to register soon.

Your Coach or Manager may have applied for team registration.  If so, you will receive an email with a unique team code so that you can register straight into your team. Everyone else will receive the standard individual player registration email.

 

WAITING LISTS 

New Players or past members who did not play for City Beach in 2017 must join the waiting list.

Waiting lists open Wednesday 24th January.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

CITY BEACH BASKETBALL CLUB INC

to be held

Order of business will be:

(i) Confirmation of minutes of the 2015 Annual General Meeting and matters arising therefrom;

(ii) Consideration of the audited accounts and reports of the Committee;

(iii) Election of Committee members for 2017; and

(iv) Any other business requiring consideration by the Club at the general meeting.

 

CBBC is always looking for new Committee members to enable the club to operate according to its Constitution and ensure continued successful operation at its current size of 600+ playing members.

​

The level of commitment required is simply what you are prepared and able to give, from the role of a General Committee Member who helps out doing occasional odd jobs to the more involved role of Club Registrar.  The busiest period for the Registrar is mid-January to mid-March overseeing registrations in conjunction with the President & Treasurer.

​

Tryouts for a Hawks team in BWA State Championships

PERRY LAKES HAWKS will start tryout sessions on Thursday 13th (U15 & U17) and Saturday 15th (U11 & U13) of October to select teams to enter into these Tournaments.

TRYOUT DATES

Thursday 13th, 20th, & 27th October

 

7.30-9.30pm U15 Men & Women (2002-2003), U17 Men & Women (2000-2001)
Saturday 15th, 22nd, 27th October

1.00-2.30pm U11 Boys and Girls (2006-2008)

2.30-4.00pm U13 GIRLS ONLY (2004-2005)
4.00-5.30pm U13 BOYS ONLY (2004-2005)

After these dates Teams will be selected and will continue training until the relevant State

Championship Tournaments.

The 2016 Smarter than Smoking BWA State Championships will be played:

This year Basketball WA will be running the tournaments at Bendat Basketball Centre and also at Warwick Stadium to accommodate more games, the finals will be held at Bendat Basketball Centre.

There are 13 perpetual trophies recognising worthy players, coaches, managers and other clubpersons.

July 2016

 

Congratulations to Samantha Ashby and Suzi-Rose (Rosie) Deegan from CB145 for representing WA Metro at the U16 Nationals played in Kilsyth Victoria in early July.  Both girls were regular starters and significant contributors with Sam averaging 7 points, over 4 rebounds and almost 3 steals a game, while Rosie contributed a team high 10 points, almost 9 rebounds and over 3 steals per game.  Rosie also managed a "double double" (16 points and 11 rebounds) in the team's final game, a victory over SA Country 77-66 that saw WA Metro finish in 9th place.

Season's Greetings to all CBBC members and supporters.

Thank you to those people who attended the AGM earlier in the month. Thank you also to those who have joined the Committee for 2016, the make up of which will be revealed soon.

 

2015 players will receive their registration email for the 2016 season around the 18-20th of January.  If you have not received the email by 21st January please email Registrar@citybeachbasketball.org. Registrations will close Sunday 7th February.

 

New players or pre-2015 CBBC players must join the CBBC Waiting List which will open Monday 18th January. 

 

CBBC fees for 2016 have increased to $160 for 2016.  As there will be no additional charge for online payment this amounts to an increase of 6.2% on the 2014 & 2015 fees.

The Hawks Season fee will be $135 with no additional online processing charge (increase of 3.9%).

2015 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS - PERRY LAKES HAWKS TEAM TRYOUTS START 15th & 17th OCTOBER

State Championships Carnival Dates:

28, 29 November: U11 and U13 BOYS (Years of birth 2005/2006 & 2003/2004)

5, 6 December:     U15 GIRLS  and U17 BOYS & GIRLS  (Years of birth 01/02 & 99/00)

12, 13 December: U13 GIRLS, U15 BOYS, and U19 BOYS & GIRLS (Years of birth 03/04, 01/02, 97/98)

Players must be under an age at the 31st December 2015

Perry Lakes Hawks will hold weekly skills development sessions at the BENDAT BASKETBALL CENTRE (formerly WABC) with the view to forming teams at the end of the third week.
